1 Year Later

A lot has happened since last year. We were just getting on the plane to bring Simeon home. We were so blessed to spend two weeks in Taiwan, visiting old friends and meeting new ones, saying good-bye to the special people who had loved Simeon while we were so far away. So much has happened. Here are some of the highlights:

On Mother's Day 2013 we found out I was pregnant. We were so happy that Simeon would have a sibling close in age because it has been such a blessing to Elisha and Judah to have a close friend.

Simeon celebrated his first birthday.

We got to see Ashleigh and Sara (and other families who had adopted from Taiwan Xi En) in Louisville, KY (they were visiting the USA for the summer).

Simeon learned to climb.

We went to the park.

Simeon got to know his extended family. He is especially fond of his two grandpas.

We moved to a new house to accommodate our family of (what would soon be) SIX.

We built snowmen.

We celebrated Christmas.

We welcomed Talia Jane to our family.

Simeon is learning how to be a good big brother. He likes to hold Talia (for about 10 seconds at a time).

He has play tested many toys, but looks forward to testing more.

He continues to climb.

And he loves to fly. And he loves to dance.

I guess you could say nothing particularly profound has happened. And yet maybe it has. We are so thankful to have Simeon home. We grew from a family of four to a family of six in nine months. We are immensely blessed and our goal is to enjoy every day as we walk this crazy blessed life that God has given us.
